Kachrali Lake

Kachrali Talav is a vast lake located in Thane, serving as a major tourist attraction in the city. The lake is surrounded by a jogging track which ropes in health enthusiasts here on a daily basis, in addition to tourists that visit this place. 

Kachrali Lake features a very soothing atmosphere with surrounding greenery which makes it an ideal getaway from the chaotic and noisy vibes of the city. There is also a small Ganesh Temple by the lake. Do include this lake to your itinerary for Thane, especially if you are travelling with family. 

Kachrali Lake is a beautiful water body which houses a little island at its centre. It is situated in Thane opposite to the Thane Municipal Corporation building. The lake has artificial water fountains adding to the scenic view.

Kachrali Lake has a jogging track and exercise area where several health conscious locals are seen frequently. A specialized children’s area can be seen near the lake where many children can be seen during the evening. Kachrali Lake provides the facility of boating for boating enthusiasts, occasionally some locals can be seen fishing in the lake. 

How To Reach Kachrali Lake 

Kachrali Lake is situated exactly opposite to the Thane Municipal Corporation Building. The nearest bus stops from the lake are Parmarth Niketan Bus Stop, Mahapalika Bhavan Bus Stop and Sarovar Darshan bus stop located at a distance of 200 m, 400m and 350 m respectively.

The nearest railway station to Kachrali Lake is Thane Railway Station located at a distance of 2.2 km. Buses and taxis are available from the station to the lake. To travel within the city buses, taxis, private cabs and local trains are available.
